Nuclear Mechanical Systems and Components

Introduction

The Training program is structured to give an overview of the basics for the production of energy using nuclear technology.

The program includes all types of thermal reactors including pressurized, boiling and gas-cooled reactor power plants covering the principle of operation, moderation, cooling, control, fuel cycle, economics, and environmental impacts.

Objectives

After attending this course, trainees will be familiar with basic components, systems, controls and assessment of different commercial nuclear power plants for electrical power production and seawater desalination.

Training Methodology

The course is delivered in a combination of lecture-style and computer-based training. In addition, a significant amount of time is set aside for small working group activity when addressing case study problems. Extensive use is made of case study material to underline the key aspects of the course and to give the delegates exposure to current best practice.

Who Should Attend?

Planning, Design, Commissioning and O&M power plant Engineers /Managers, High-level technicians.
