Introduction

This is the first of CIPS entry-level qualifications and is suitable for those who want to specialize in a specific occupation, occupational area or technical role. It will prepare learners for work by giving them the opportunity to develop sector-specific knowledge, technical and practical skills, and to apply these skills in work-related environments. This qualification supports learners within operational roles within the procurement and supply profession.

Developed in close collaboration with experts from the procurement and supply profession and businesses, and with the providers who will be delivering the qualifications, CIPS Level 2 Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations is designed to develop transferable workplace skills, such as good communication and the ability to work in a team; skills which employers have identified as essential for gaining employment in the sector and for progression in the profession.

Objectives

    You will learn and come away with a clear knowledge and understanding of facts, procedures, and processes related to procurement and supply. You’ll be able to effectively interpret information and ideas, and learn how to identify, gather, and use relevant information.

    This is the first entry-level qualification, there are no formal entry requirements.

Training Methodology

This is an interactive course. There will be open question and answer sessions, regular group exercises and activities, videos, case studies, and presentations on best practice. Participants will have the opportunity to share with the facilitator and other participants on what works well and not so well for them, as well as work on issues from their own organizations. The online course is conducted online using MS-Teams/ClickMeeting.
